Will DeBouver, CFE, CPA

Will is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with over 10 years of experience in public accounting and corporate accounting and controllership. He is experienced with identifying opportunities to reduce fraud, implementation of anti-fraud controls, educating management and employees on the deterrence of fraud, resolving allegations or suspicions of fraud and assisting in the recovery of fraud losses.  Will possesses a unique background that blends knowledge of complex financial transactions with an understanding of law, criminology and investigation of allegations of fraud.

Will worked as a cost accountant for both PepsiCo Corporation and FMC Corporation before entering the public accounting profession where he was Audit and Tax Manager for Pittman, Price and Company. He also served as Plant Controller for The Arcadian Company in Wilmington, NC from 1990 to 1994, and was responsible for financial reporting and internal control. Since relocating to the Atlanta area in 1996, he has worked for several major publishing companies. Fraud Investigative Services, LLC was formed in 2007.

Will holds a B.A. in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Cameron School of Business.  Will is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  He is a frequent presenter on the topic “Occupational Fraud in Today’s Small Business Environment” at Rotary Club International meetings as well as at various other civic and professional organizations. Marie Pitts, Forensic Administrative Manager

Marie Pitts graduated from Central Texas College with Associate Degrees in Business Management and Marketing. She has 10+ years experience in retail loss prevention and cash control. Marie’s role with Fraud Investigative Services is assisting with research, fact finding, organization and analysis of data including financial, tax and business records.
